This close, it's just as clear that he's not unaffected. Half-hard against Eiffel's hip, he presses in closer, pinning Eiffel's head in place with fingers tightening in his curls. He kisses like he's drowning, passionate as a first-time skydiver who believes in the ground but is taking the parachute on faith.

He's in very good company, and he's shamelessly leaning on them both for courage enough to let go and let himself enjoy it. But that doesn't make him not afraid.
