It takes him a while to decide on a decent movie for the circumstances, and he'll give Gonou a bit of time to himself before he comes by with his laptop under one arm to knock gently.
"Hey, Gonou. You feeling up for some Netflix and chill?"
Action
"I don't know," he rasps, and waves a hand to invite Eiffel in. "What's Netflix?"
His gaze flicks over Eiffel's face and down, looking for the hints of bandages under his shirt with a hint of concern.
Re: Action
He smiles at Gonou, but the cuts are still visible across his face, held mostly shut by a few butterfly stitches at their deepest locations; the cuts under his shirt are fully hidden by his t-shirt and jumpsuit, but he's wearing the sleeves today because the stitches are right where he'd usually tie them off.
And he offers his free arm to Gonou. "You want a hand getting back to bed? Or the couch, maybe? I dunno where you think is comfier."
Re: Action
He'll take Eiffel's arm, although he's doing it carefully. The cuts across Eiffel's face are distinct, even if they're not as bad as they could have been, and he does think he remembers his claws catching flesh on Eiffel's chest and belly as well. He's not about to put too much weight on his friend.
"The bed," he says, considering. He has chairs, but they're hard plastic set around his table, and they're challenging to relax in. "You can pull up a chair, or sit on the foot of it...."
no subject
"Hey, if we're gonna watch a movie might as well be comfortable, right? I'll grab a chair for this in a second," with a slight gesture with his laptop, "and I'll sit on the bed. Want me to get you a drink or something?"
no subject
"All I have to drink is Xie Lian's medicinal tea. It's very bad." And genuinely helpful, but he's had several cups today and he feels virtue has been satisfied thereby.
no subject
"Not even some water to wash the taste out?" he offers wryly, before he ducks out - but only for a moment, before he's back with one of the chairs to start setting his laptop up on. "Who knew sewer water could be so good for you."
no subject
"Ah, it's not sewer water, you can tell it's very medicinal by just how bitter it is...."
There's still a glimmer of wicked amusement in his eye.
"What movie did you bring?" he adds, interested. "Or -- well, instead of the title, you should tell me what it's about."
no subject
He turns the screen back around, mostly so Gonou can see it properly, and it's immediately obvious that he's picked an animated feature as he hops carefully back onto the bed so he's not crushing Gonou's legs.
no subject
More quietly, he adds, "Thank you for visiting. It, ah. It's a relief to see you're up and around."
no subject
"Oh, yeah, this wasn't gonna keep me down long. I don't do well being strapped to a bed for my own wellbeing," he chuckles easily.
no subject
(And while he may struggle to express his feelings aloud, he doesn't mind leaning against his friend a little, to express regret and affection silently.)
"One version of you came here from the future, too, didn't he," he adds, quietly.
no subject
Though some of that energy fades down a little, when Gonou brings up his future self, and he lifts a hand to scrub his hair back.
"...yeah. That was... uh. Kind of a weird look at what's gonna happen to me when I go back, huh."
no subject
"Do you have to go back...?"
From everything he's heard, he certainly doesn't think that Eiffel's space station had been taking very good care of him at all.
no subject
"I kinda do," he says quietly. "I wanted to, anyway. I dunno, maybe if I stick around here long enough to get another deal, I'll figure out how to change the game plan the world's got in store for me."
Though of course, that hinges on him sticking around long enough to even graduate one Inmate, so he's probably gonna be here for a while.
no subject
"Don't go back unless you do come up with a way to change it," he says, and then, trying to lighten the mood a little, "I understood everything that man said. He really wasn't you."
no subject
"Well, good to know that folks not being able to grok my talk is a feature, not a bug."
And since he's a little bit shorter, and sitting in a slouch anyway because his tummy hurts, he's going to let himself slump down a little more. Just so he can rest his head on Gonou's shoulder.
no subject
He glances down at Eiffel, and adds, a little dubious, "Is that comfortable?" He does, after all, have a fairly wiry build. His shoulder isn't soft.

He settles in. Apart from a few questions about military technology (often in the form, 'Is that real?') he'll watch in intrigued silence, and maybe even very slightly lean on Eiffel, too.
By the end of the movie, he's drooping, though, eyes half-closed.
no subject
He always gets a bit teary when the climax hits, though, so he not-very-discreetly gives his eyes a quick wipe as the credits roll - and only then realises that Gonou is practically falling asleep on him. And he's not sure whether to point it out in case Gonou starts waking up.
no subject
"Did I--" fall asleep? He clears his throat, then actually coughs, and disentangles himself as he sits up a bit straighter. "Ah... thank you. For visiting."
no subject
no subject
"But. I do appreciate the company. I'll... see you later?"
no subject
He nudges the chair out of his way as he stands up, and pauses. "Oh, right-" He angles it back towards Gonou. "I couldn't actually decide what I wanted to watch right away so there's like, twenty movies on this? You can just drop it off when you're feeling better, if you wanna."
