"You want to go collapse on your own bed? And I'll bring you bacon later?"

He has not forgotten the reaction he got for that before.

And it works two for two: Eiffel practically gives him heart eyes over it, when he looks at him with a warm smile.

"Please and thank you, and have I mentioned lately you're goddamn wonderful?"

Jedao flushes a little - relief as much as anything inflating the impact of the compliment.

"It's been a little while," Jedao allows, faux-demure.

"You're the beeeest," he hums, flopping into Jedao's side again for a few seconds.

When he gets up he'll take the aspirin and bottles with him, and despite still being a bit unsteady and pale he certainly looks like he's got it handled. And he gives Jedao a little ruffle to his hair as well.

"Promise we'll talk about it later? I don't wanna leave you hanging like that."

His soft smile as he leans into the hair ruffle is as warm as always.

Then Jedao raises an eyebrow.

"You're the one who runs away when we talk about it," he points out mildly. "Whenever you're ready to talk, we'll talk."

He leans in and brushes a barely-there kiss of sound and air against Eiffel's cheek, pulling back to regard him with an equally warm but more roguish smile.

"Don't worry too much about me. After I walk you home I'm going to plow Gonou through the mattress, probably."
