"I'm fine. Let's go." It might be childish but everyone already thinks that of him anyway so what does he fucking care. "Come on. You're Foxy James Bond, where the hell would our super-soldier hide out?"

Jedao hisses between his teeth, a rattlesnake sound, but gets his shoulder under Eiffel's arm to support him. They're a good height for it.

"If she really didn't want to be found, she'd choose a warden she could subdue and break into their canin, so none of the magic types could pinpoint her."

The part of him that's burning and burning in the pit of his stomach wants to say obviously, but that's unfair.

"I don't think that's actually her priority, or she wouldn't have called me. I'm going to get her to tell me. Once Hakkai's seen you."

That unnatural, aggressive sound from Jedao should threaten Eiffel more than it does, but it's like there's a smog settling in his mind that's preventing higher level thoughts like self preservation.

But also he hasn't got much strength to resist when Jedao is suddenly under his arm and supporting his weight, and he's leaning into it before he can even register the fact.

"It's 'cos she's goddamn insane," he grumbles bitterly. "She called me up to tell me I'm not freaking real and that she was gonna hurt us if we found her. So obviously we have to just to prove her stupid ass wrong!"

Jedao wants to squeeze him until he pops. His voice is quiet, careful, kind.

"Eiffel. As someone who sometimes has very dangerous reflexes. If someone tells you they are afraid they might hurt you, you should give them at least a little space. Even if the risk is low, the fear is real. And escalating that fear is not going to help them in that moment."
